Sharing the Spotlight: Two Great Choreographer, One Exciting Evening! - JESSICA KONDRATH - THE MOVEMENT explores the intimate connection between movement and the musical score. It is her choreographic interest to craft a visual representation of the score so that the audience may experience the music visually as well as aurally. AMY ALLEN - DANCING IN THE LIGHT Enjoy an eclectic combination of choreographic works including live performance and dance film compositions that bring a unique perspective to dance on camera. Incorporating storyline, comedy, and dynamic movement, these pieces expand and modernize traditional choreographic methods creating something both artistic and entertaining guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) is one of the most multifaceted groups in any genre. LAGQ is comprised of four uniquely accomplished musicians bringing a new energy to the concert stage with programs ranging from bluegrass to Bach. As a special treat tonight, they will be joined by a troupe of fabulous dancers from LA Flamenco and mesmerizing mezzo-soprano, Janelle DeStefano. Their performance will include: El Baile De Luíz Alonzo by Gerónimo Giménez, Introduction and Fandango by Luigi Boccherini, La Soirée Dans Grenade by Claude Debussy, Carmen Suite by Georges Bizet, Siete Canciónes Populares Españolas by Manuel De Falla and culminating with a dramatic production of Manuel de Falla’s ballet El Amor Brujo. Carmen Bradford & Friends 10/09/15
Carmen Bradford sang with the Count Basie Orchestra from 1982-1990. Since that time, she has been involved in a wide variety of musical activities. She has recorded with George Benson, Dori Caymmi, and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. She toured Europe with the David Murray Big Band, performed the songs of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn with flutist James Newton, and sang in concerts with the Doc Severinsen Orchestra. Program to include big blues and jazz standards from the Great American Songbook featuring Ms. Bradford and her Jazz Trio.

Nikita Mndoyants, piano 10/30/15
Nikita Mndoyants is an internationally acclaimed pianist, finishing among the top six in the 2013 Cliburn Competition, 36 years after his father also won a Cliburn prize. Mndoyants gave his first public recital when he was 10, and one year later released his first recording of a live performance at the Sibelius Academy Concert Hall in Helsinki. Since then, he has toured throughout Europe, China, Israel, Russia, and the United States. He continues to earn praise for his playing that is “exciting, individualistic, vibrant, and full of dynamic and tonal detail.” Performance to include: Haydn’s Sonata in E Major, Hob XVI No. 31; Schumann’s Davidsbündlertänze; Beethoven’s Sonata No. 23 “Appassionata” in f minor, Op. 57; and Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 7 in B flat Major. Op. 83.
